INFORMATION ABOUT THE ONGOING STRIKE

ENG | Updated Information Regarding the Strike in the Hotel and Restaurant Sector
On 28 April, the trade union Fellesforbundet announced an escalation of the strike under the National Agreement (Riksavtalen), including the withdrawal of members employed by 4Service, which operates the Aker Solutions camps and canteens in Stord. The escalation will take effect on Sunday, 3 May at 08:00.
4Service has conducted a thorough review of its procedures related to food service, cleaning and hotel operations, and has confirmed to Aker Solutions that operations can be maintained at all camps throughout the strike period. This means that personnel intake, crew rotations and all project activities at the yard will continue as normal.

However, this will result in a reduced level of service in the camps, as detailed below.

CATERING (MEALS)

Meals will be served in the camp canteens. Due to the strike, the selection of food will be reduced.
Breakfast will be served at the regular time.
It will be possible to take food for lunch.
Dinner will be served at the regular time.

CHECK-IN, CHECK-OUT AND CLEANING

Check-in, check-out and key distribution will continue as normal, but some waiting time should be expected.
Check-in and key distribution will normally take place as usual. With regard to the three reception desks at the Heiane camp, Heiane 1 will be closed during the strike period. Reception services for the entire Heiane area will be handled by Heiane 2 between 05:00 and 11:30, and by Heiane 3 between 14:45 and 00:45.

Bed linen will be provided, but residents must make their own beds.
Final cleaning at check-out will be carried out.
The rooms will be cleaned and prepared prior to check-in; however, cleaning services during the stay will be reduced.

WELFARE SERVICES
The camp kiosks located in the receptions will be closed during the strike
Other welfare services in the camps will remain available as normal.

TRANSPORT
All transport to and from the camps will operate as normal.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDENESS
Emergency preparedness and fire safety will be maintained as before, including automatic notification to the Stord Fire Department.

Arrival
All personnel arriving at the Arrival Center, must be registered and notified at least three working days prior to their arrival. Upon arrival at the Arrival Center, everyone must present valid identification.

Check out
Check out day shifts: by 09:00
Check out night shift: by 12:00 noon

The room key and any wardrobe key must be handed in to the reception, as well as any luggage that must be stored during the free period. Lost keys will be invoiced to your company.

Luggage storage (for storage over 24 hours):
Employees who go home during their time off and know they will be coming back after the break can store one bag per person at the reception (limited to work attire, no valuables). Note that plastic bags or similar containers are not allowed. Please ensure your bag is properly labeled with your name and company.

All companies that have residents in camp are invited to barracks meetings that are held regularly. Contact reception to register for barracks meetings.

Transportation

Bus routes operate between the camps and Leirvik town center throughout the day. Visit the Skyss website for detailed schedules and route information.
